Randy EllsworthHey there, Randy Ellsworth here. Just a little background about me. I was born in Payson Utah in 1948. Now let’s see, that puts me at about 19 then doesn’t it? When I was growing up with my mom, dad and 1 sister, we had alot of music in the house. My mother and sister played the piano. So when I got into ninth grade, I decided that it was time to start the music carreer. I took piano for 2 years and I learned the basic music theory. (no rock and roll yet) even though they were playing something like that on the radio. Then mom bought an organ. Big hammond with the foot peddles and so on. I took organ lessons for 2 years and learned chord theory and bass paterns. (got some good rock organ back ground ) But I always had that big urge to play guitar.

Randy EllsworthSo I saved my money and bought my brother-in-law’s sears guitar. Actually it played pretty good, talked my best friend into some drums and we were on our way making songs in his basement for a year. I talked my other friend in to a bass guitar and amp and we became the “Sons of Objection” band (our parents didn’t like the loud music).
Got married, settled down, went to Radiology school, erned a Radiology degree and specialized in CAT scanning, and now work in a hospital in Salt Lake City. Been doing it for 30 years. We have nine children. (two dopted) and lots of grand kids. They love to hear grandpa bang out the oldies rock and roll. (did i mention i was still 19)

I grew up on 60′s rock, Beatles, Stones, Animals, Doors etc. But have found I like music from all eras, like Smash Mouth, Fast Ball, Dave Mathews, VanHalen, and Sammy. So I still keep rockin’ and lovin’ every minute of it. It is so fun plalying with the guys I do now. We really blend, especially me and my son Jared, our keyboard master. We love to play, what can I say!
